New Zealand Prime Minister John Key landed in Burma on Wednesday for a three-day visit, Fairfax NZ news reported. He will meet with opposition leader Aung San Suu Ky in Rangoon and President Thein Sein in Naypyidaw and attend a business event. Key is the first New Zealand prime minister to visit Burma. He wants to encourage ongoing democratic and social reforms in Burma, and look into business opportunities. “There’s lots of opportunities: it’s arable land, a big population and it is going to get wealthy over time,” Key said.
