Two ethnic Karen men from the Mae La refugee camp in Thailand’s Tak Province were found dead last week after leaving the camp in search of work, according to a report by the Karen News Group. The bodies of the two men, identified as Saw K’Nyaw, 33, and Saw Than Tun Lay, 29, were discovered on Nov. 7. Both had apparently suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Their wives had earlier reported the disappearance of the men to camp security officers after they failed to return to the camp following a day of harvesting corn at a village around three kilometers south of the camp.
