Pakistani Taliban Threatens Burma Over Rohingya Violence

The Pakistan-based Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) released an official statement on Wednesday calling on the Pakistani government to cut its relations with Burma and shut down the Burmese embassy in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, according to an AFP report.
“Otherwise we will not only attack Burmese interests anywhere but will also attack the Pakistani fellows of Burma one by one,” it said.
The Pakistani Taliban said such acts would be reprisals for alleged state-sponsored murders of Muslim Rohingyas during sectarian violence in Burma’s western Arakan State during the past two months.
Speaking of perceived atrocities committed against Burma’s Rohingya community, Ehsanullah Ehsan, a spokesman for the TTP, said in the statement: “We will avenge your blood.”
Neither the Burmese embassy in Islamabad or Bangkok was available for comment nor was the president’s office in Naypyidaw.
However, Zaw Htay, a staffer in President Thein Sein’s office, posted on Facebook (under the name Hmuu Zaw) that the president had already released a statement about the Rohingya issue when he met with UNHCR chief Antonio Guterres in Naypyidaw.
On July 11, Burma’s presidential office stated that “It is impossible for Burma to accept people who are not ethnic to the country and who have entered illegally.”
The statement said that the Burmese government “will hand over responsibility for the Rohingya minority to the UN’s refugee agency in Arakan State,” adding that it is also “willing to send the Rohingyas to any third country that will accept them.”
The UNHCR rejected the offer to resettle the Rohingya community the following day. Guterres told reporters at a press conference in Rangoon that the UN’s resettlement program is totally unrelated to the situation in western Arakan State.
An unknown number of people have died, but an estimated 90,000 have been affected by the violence that erupted between Rohingya Muslims and Arakanese Buddhists in early June.
Several other Islamic groups have also issued statements condemning the violence, though only the Pakistani Taliban threatened violence.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan—more commonly known as the Afghan Taliban, a separate military unit from the TTP—issued a statement on its website on July 20 in which it said that Muslims in Burma were facing acts of “oppression and savagery.” It called on the international community and human rights groups, as well as foreign governments—primarily in the Arab world—to take immediate action.
The Global Islamic Media Front, a mouthpiece for international terrorist organization al-Qaeda, highlighted the brutal murder of Muslim pilgrims by a Rakhine mob in Taungup Township in southern Arakan State on June 3, and referred to the subsequent events as a “genocide against Muslims.” It also condemned the Bangladeshi government for refusing sanctuary to Rohingya refugees.
On July 23, Lebanese Islamic organization Hezbollah released a statement saying that it “deplored the merciless carnages” targeting Muslims in Burma.
The statements by Islamic groups and militants follows condemnation by Muslim nations at large of the Burmese government’s handling of the crisis.
Recently, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) wrote to Burmese President Thein Sein, urging him to address the plight of the Rohingya community in accordance with the accepted practices of international human rights.
In the letter, OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu sought assurances from the Burmese president for the safety and security of the Rohingyas as citizens of the country, and called for an end to all intimidation and oppression against them.
Ihsanoglu also called on Thein Sein to take appropriate steps to carry out prompt and effective investigations of the alleged atrocities committed against Rohingya Muslims since June 3, and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The recent violence in Arakan State began with the rape and murder in May of a Buddhist Arakanese girl, allegedly by three Rohingya Muslims. In response, a Buddhist mob killed 10 Muslims on June 3, leading to intense violence between Rohingyas and Arakanese.

There are 800,000 Rohingyas in Burma,If Pakistan & Bangladesh can take 400,000 each,that will be good for every body.
No buddhist organisations threatened Talibans with violence when they blew up the ancient buddha statue in Afghanistan because it was not Islam. That speaks for voluume about the difference between the two groups. There is no excuse to persecute one group or the other based on religion and Talibans are the worst of the worst when it comes to the issue of religion.

May be Iran ,Pakistan & Bangladesh can share 800,000 Rohingyas and take them and resettle them in their countries,that will be good for every body.
Rohingyas are Burmese. They have lived in the territory for hundreds of yours. Why should Bangladesh or Pakistan take in Burmese. They have their own problems with overpopulation and poverty. Do the civilised thing and treat all people equally regardless of their ethnicity. I may be asking too much form Burma a bankward, uncivilised country ruled by tyrants and despots.

How ironic that the vast majority of Muslims in Myanmar are probably quite happy to see Rohingya pushed out of the country… or worse. Or perhaps, given the tiny minority of Muslims that the Taliban and extremist friends speak for, it’s not that ironic. In their simplistic mindset, the poverty / nationalism / racism which fuels this conflict means nothing. Ahhhhh, this can only make things worse… which I guess is what they want.

It is interesting that the Taliban from Pakistan are speaking out on this issue, as I have witnessed that Buddhists in Pakistan are oppressed in their very country. In muslim countries Buddhists are not free at all. Even visiting Buddhists have their Buddha images destroyed at the airports! Bamyan at a small and at the same time large scale. The idea of having the Rohingyas adopted by and to Pakistan and Afganistan is indeed a brilliant idea! Let’s give each other enough space to live in this world.

If Rohingya Muslim wants to gain freedom in Burma, they must go through military and their generals. They are the one who behind of everything, rape, torture, ..and kill minority groups for the past 60 yrs. The Burmese government is weak and don’t have much to say in that country. The average people don’t care if you are. Christian Muslim,and Budhist followers. The Muslim people in the world should learn how to remove the millitary arm forces.

I’ve met good friend of muslims as well and they hate those taliban and extremist because they mislead the religion belief and damage the impage of Muslim community in the world.
So it is clearly understood by everyone(including good Muslim) that the Taliban or terrorist/extremist muslim are only the small cell of the world, but the dangerous cell to all of us. Now they pretend to help Rohingya(Bangali). Instead, they should have convince Arab world to receive those all poor Rohingya since long time ago, if they really care about.

As this situation I suggest that Burma’s government should give them a large piece of land so that Burman muslims can live there. I know it will not happen, do put pressure by all means world pressure to do soo. If they don’t do in all situation do attack the Burma. there is no borderline for muslims. clear the border line of burma migrate all the muslims towards any muslim country and then attack and clapper some Burma’s land and again settle these Burmans Rohingya muslims at that Burman’s land. Giving them protection by muslim army. Alas all the muslim countries are under the influence of west and are their spoon. Bangladeshi women’s secular government reject to give Burman muslims shelter and refuge.

Hi I am a Muslim and I am an ethnic Rohingya. I am only for peace! I reject any Pakistani involvement in my country or with my people if they support violence. I want the Rohingya to only use peaceful methods to solve our issues.
I think Daw Suu made a great speech in support of minorities and President Thein Sein is speaking with the UN about having us accept. The people of Myanmar must understand one thing. Whether we are Rohingya or illegal Bangladeshis as you say is another argument. But you must understand the Bangladesh will not accept us either. The conside us illegal Burmese.

I am willing to move and get out or Myanmar and live in a Muslim country peacefully but no Muslim country will give me visa. Oh by theway, the Burmese polie will not let me travel to any wherwit a permit. As result, I cannot get a visa at an embassy without a permit to travel to the capital.

1) No Muslim country will give us residency.
2) Bangladesh considers us ethnic Burmese and Myanmar Bangladeshi.
3) So Rohingya are caught in between a rock and a hard place.
4) Moreover, if we try to leave Myanmar to Bangladesh the Bangladeshi Army deports us back to Myanmar.
Here is another thing Myanmar should consider. During the Burmese Independence, Daw Suu’s father embraced us openly. Rohingya lived as peaceful citizens and we contribut to the economy.
The Muslim world has 1 billion people. We Rohingya can be your best representatives and promote exporting of Myanmar products to Muslim nations. Do you know Rohingya living in UK, US, Canada and Australia prefer buying products that are from Burma and we actually go to Burmese restaurants more than we go to Bangladeshi restaurants. No matter which part of the world we are from, we will always love Burma.
America accepts Mexicans! UK accepts Pakistanis! Europe accepts Africans! Why can’t Burma accept Rohingya? It is not like there is not enough space.
My great grand parents, grand parents and parents always had a small business and we hired Rakhine people and we did business with our Rakhne neighbors.
Finally, you must know that Buddha was born in India! buddha is not ethniclly related to you! Buddha is related more to Bihari and Bangladeshi Indians! So if you reject Rohingya then you are also rejecting Buddha!
I just wanted to add that in Canada I have many Rakhine friends. We love in the same neighborhood and we help each other when we have a sick relative. As a kid I was always taught that all Burmese are brothers and sisters and we should love all mankind. It is sad, that my own neighbors in my home country have forgotten the values of the Lord Buddha. Buddha was against killing on even animals and evn insects. So why does the Myanmar army kill, torture and displace Rohingya?

Pakistan actually massacred many Bangladeshis when Bangladesh was still East Pakistan. But remembe when the Buddhas were destroyed, many Myanmar Muslims homes were damaged and many Muslims were beaten. Even some Buddhist monks started calling us “Kalar.” That is like calling black people in USA the N-word! That is totally unacceptable.
There is a lot of space in Rakhine. My ancestors are buried here. We lived and worked with all Burmese people. My grandparents fought hard to be independent of the British. Do you know my grandparents hid many Rakhine protesters during the independence movement of Burma?
It is realy sad to see that my grandparents loved their Rakhine neighbors and were ready to die for them and protect them. The very same Rakhine are against us.

This threat is proof enough that the rohingyas have deep connection with the islamist terrorists worldwide, and worse, the rohingyanism started with the direct involvement of the talibans and al-qaeda. I think no other followers of Islam in Burma are such extremists and connected to the terrorist islamist organizations, who demand to fight for the cause of Islam, in fact do the opposite and preach the ideology of the worst of the barbarians the world can imagine. I know the Muslims of Burma have lived so peacefully and even contributed a lot to the building of modern Burma. Whereas the particular group of muslim of rakhine state never had feeling or patriotism for the country they have been living. Instead they have been busy bringing in more illegal migrants of their kind and creating multilateral problems beside their own, including international smuggling, trafficking, gunrunning, contact with extremist islamist militants and raising concerted efforts against a minority in burma in the name of jihad.
I would also hope that Amnesty and other human rights organizations would condemn Indian government for their shoot first ask questions later policy against the Rohingers who are now killing ethnic Bodos in india after they got tired of killing Rakhines in Burma.

No one’s ever accused the Taliban of being clever. Because of the geography of distance, they have zero chance of helping the Rohingyas in any meaningful way. All the Taliban offer is a real reason for the Burmese government to crack down on the Muslims, to chase any Taliban out of their country.
The UN,HRW,OIC should work together & act promptly to ship all Rohingyas to Pakistan & Bangladesh, instead of wasting time to criticize the human right abuse. No country will tolerate any other nations committed crimes in their country.No Govt will honor the citizenship to the trouble makers,the citizenship is only deserve for good civilians.Let the Talibans in Pakistan take care of them & ceased the hatred on Myanmar.
President Thein Sein should think deeply and peacefully require to solve Burma Muslims matter especially present Arakan Violence concerning with north Arakan Muslims matter those are staying there since the centuries so call Rohingya given name by Burmese military and elected government PM. This issue was created by Burmese military leader Brig General Aung Gyi and electred government Prime Minister U Nu. So present military leader should take responsibility. Why Northen Arakan Muslims had MPs and Minister in those days if these peoples are foreigners? If present government think and take that 1982 citizen ship law is international standard, no bias, not subjected particular purpose why not challenge at international court of justice or make referendum via UN initiative also civil society debates.
So it is better to solve peacefully within the frame of UN charter.
There is no way to treat Pakistan Taliban if we Myanmar Government have Justice. Don’t use arms to solve race clashes if we have rules of Law. First establish Justice in Myanmar then then solve all problems of our country. By Respecting Rights of others, our country will escape from all of danger otherwise our country will be in danger.

I have little knowledge about your country, but lately all the news agency showed pictures of atrocities committed against Muslims. Well those are citizens of your country if you abuse them it will effect all the country in a way or the other, so I would not commit a genocide towards certain religion or ethnic just based on their background. I’m Muslim and Islam respects coexistence. I also believe that Buddha would not recommend you to encourage mass killing against others.
There’s a place for everybody in this world, with or without documentation. Any part of of the earth is GOD’s not ours to claim and brag upon. If the Rohingyas don’t have a passport, give them one, instead of killing them.

When you say Rohingya are the original people of Rakhine, you’re correct, because Rohingya means the Rakhine in Bengali. Today’s socalled islamist Rohingyas stole the name to fool the entire world and make up a hallucinatory history, which many of the gullible in the west gave support without even trying to understand the real facts. Look at the social media pictures posted on behalf of the rohingya killings in Rakhine state: they are purported versions and lies, because the pictures were originally from incidences which have no connection with the soil of Rakhine state. I have every reason to believe that these were done to organize and implement a heinous plot against the peace-building process that the respective governments of Bangladesh and Burma took in recent years. We can never believe the propaganda of the islamist militants including rohingya propaganda machine.
